Paul and Nic Renison farm ‘Cannerheugh’ at Renwick, Penrith. They moved to the farm in 2012 with their two daughters. They run two separate flocks, the crossbred ewes being tupped by the Abermax and Primera and the Swaledales and other hill sheep tupped by the Aberfield and Highlander. Dairy heifers are also taken in throughout the winter months.

Nic was brought up on a dairy farm near Oswestry, Shropshire and managed the family herd before working at NMR and Schering-plough. Paul studied at Harper Adam’s which included a year on a ranch in Montana and then 10 years managing a fell farm in the Lake District.
